The weather is back to cold/cloudy/foggy after 2 days of bright/clear/sunny sky….don’t know when this chilly winter will end…….
This morning feeling a bit rajin to prepare a ‘ lunch menu’ breakfast….plain rice with sambal ikan bilis, fried chicken drumsticks and mixed vegetables in black soy sauce and mango juice. That heavy breakfast just for mimi and I to enjoy since Izzat has classes today(almost missed the transport coz I forgot to wake him up after he continued sleeping after subuh prayer and he also forgot to remind me last night that he has class today ). Zaid had gone to Mu’tah Thursday afternoon and would come back this evening.
Yesterday Mimi had a fun time playing outside with her arab friends and as always I sometimes kept an eye on her coz I didn’t want her to play beyond ‘my’ fence. Then came Sobah, Mimi’s friend with her little sister Maryam. Those two girls are really sweet, cute and pretty ( so geram tau tengok anak arab ni ) and two months back their mother had another baby girl, Anut….

As I watched them playing and singing I kept admiring the beauty of arab girls and women ( men pun ramai yang handsome ). They are naturally beautiful and yet they still visit beauty salon which are mushrooming in this country. They even have kids salon just for the little ones to be groomed like princesses.The salon for women is usually covered with curtains to avoid the customers been ‘scanned/peeped’ by men . The women have their hair cut/dyed and most of them have their eyebrows peeled off when they are in high schools. So, most of them have artificial black-pencil-line drawn eyebrows .Sumayyah , my daughter had once went to a salon to have her hair cut and she came back giggling telling me that the lady who cut her hair had one eyebrow senget……..
These pretty arab women love to apply make-up and sometimes the over-applied make up turn their faces to the ugly ones. I always say to myself if I were an arab woman, I would not let my natural beauty be polluted with those hazardous chemical cosmetics.
I admire their beauty but for me the most important value is not on their faces but its in their hearts…Those who possess beautiful hearts are the most precious jewels in the sight of the AlMighty God……..

Agree with you. Most of them are beautiful. Susah nak cari yang tak lawa. Kat tempat I tinggal sekarang, yang lawa Arab, Pakistan. Kalah Mat Salleh. Apa-apa pun biar-lah perangai yang cantik. Walaupun rupa tak lawa, dgn perangai cantik, insyaAllah rupa pun cantik akhirnya.
agree bab over make up tu. Especially tang eye shadow tuh. tak kaler biru mesti hijau. Dah lawa dah takyah make up pun kan. MAsa pregnant yang 2nd tu tetiap malam bukak channel lebanon...mana tau kut terkenan. Hahahah. Tapi anak arab mmg cute sangat kan.

Rina beauty pemberian tuhan kekadang kita tak payah nak bermakeup dah cantik.Betul org arab ni kecantikkan nya lain...between omputih and indian di bancur macam kopi susu....hehe

personally I think it is sad that some of the minah arab ni so shallow and sebok betul nak mekap muka macam nak rak. they are pretty already but noooo have to put that thick thick eyeshadow thick thick foundation. and beauty salon mak oi memanglah banyak
Betul Kak Rina. From my observation when I was in Madinah/Mekah lah, I think Iranians are among the fairest of the Arabian clans. Eh, are Iranians Arabs, or are there Pashtuns?

why arabian women more intrested in the clothes and makeup stuff more than other womens?
mabye the answer is ,because she is more free than the other women's on the world ,most of jordanian womens not working, so she have more time to be intrested on this stuff than the malay women as example.
another reason as i think, mabye because jordanian women find her self " prove her self" as being more girly ,while other women spcialy malay women try to prove her self and find her self as a worker , thats what make them most of time fighting for the job and life more than the malay man as i notic .
onething intrested from what i saw , is that arabian women is oposit of malay women, and arabian man is oposite of malay man .

you just remind me of my malay lectural Dr .Zaitun , she was my lectral at my degree in yarmook university on 2000 at the computer scince department, mabye u know her!
anyway befor 1 year while am visting her at her office At UM ,she told me that oneday while she was working in jordan, she attend a jordanian wedding party, for sure separate one" women only" , she said to me that when she enter the wedding room and saw what the jordanian girls wearing ,and the way they dancing she shocked ,and she feeel so shy cause the girls were sexy and she never saw girl's wear like that in her life, so she was rush to leave the wedding !
i smile 2 her and aske her have u seen any amn there,then she say nope, then i aske her then whats wrong about that!
let the girls enjoy and be happy as long its not Haram .
from my experiance with both malay and arabian culture , we have many differant things, and because everyone used to live with his culture then he think that the other culture is stranged .
example , when arabian guys meet they give sallam and kiss each other, and the malaysian here look at us as we do wrong thing !
while for us thats fine and ok, but when we see a girl riding a motor we suprized ,and cant accept that ,while thats ok for malaysian .
so as i said befor, everyone used to live in a differant culture thats why we think the other one is wrong and strange.

hazia........ actually tak tepat sangat hassan tu cakap sebab yang ramai makeup adalah yang bekerja dan many jordanian women are working esp in education line...polis traffic ramai yng wanita and mak ooii makeup tebal tau polis.... salon tu boleh kata semua lapisan wanita pergi kecuali wanita baduisebab makeupnya lain sikit , banyak celak and inai...akak duduk di amman so, tempat lain akak tak berapa tau sangat tapi memang ramai wanita kat sini bekerja.
