Been very busy for the last two days, entertaining guests and having fun together…..
Friday evening , Azah ( my friend’s daughter who studies Medicine at JUST ), Irbid, together with 3 other girls came to my house. They were supposed to reach Amman around 6pm but the vacant seats in the bus held them quite long, so they finally reached my house at 7.45pm (maghrib )…The ‘pelik tapi benar about the bus’ entry had again proven the ‘kepelikan’…
After dinner, we went to the Jubaihah Amusement City ( Theme Park ) which is just 4 minutes (by taxi ) from my house… Mimi had been begging me to go there since it was re-opened last month( it was closed in winter ) .
So, there we were……

The theme park wasn’t that full but I’m sure it’s gonna be full house in July and August where many ‘foreign arabs’ from other arab countries will flood the park as usual.
The girls had fun trying all games including the tower , twister, roller-coaster, pirate ship and mimi enjoyed riding the worm coaster, choo-choo train and merry go round.
I couldn’t believe that I was afraid of height, I was on the merry go round with izzat and mimi and I was so scared ‘hanging ‘ above while Izzat kept on laughing at me as I held the steel bar looking so pale….
Those girls were so strong that they felt nothing even after riding that nauseating /vomiting pirate ship…..I vomitted when I tried riding it last year and I told Zaid that I would never ever riding that pirate ship again…I had to take panadols for three days to let the nauseating feeling away from my throat. Last year there was an arab lady who fainted while on it right before my turn and I sat on her seat…but luckily I wasn’t fainted , just vomitted after getting off ……
Sometimes I wonder why we enjoy being in a theme park where many of those entertaining games and machines would probably lead us to dizziness….. maybe the dizziness itself is a kind of fun….
We came back at midnight with no taxi around to take us backhome. We decided to walk home but mimi was already too sleepy but she was kind enough to tell me that she’s still able to walk. Then after half way, there was ‘servis’(local taxi that go around the housing area ) available at the market, we hired 2 servis ……
At 4.30am got a call from zaid and he told me he was almost reaching my house ( from Turkey trip ) and he was with 4 other guys who ‘d transit at my house before going home to Mu’tah later that day… Alhamdulillah his 9-day-trip to Turkey was over…
So, Saturday morning , I had 8 guests , 4 girls and 4 guys right here in my house ( remember how I wrote I was alone ..now 10 adults including me and zaid ).. .Alhamdulillah..
Saturday afternoon the girls and 3 of the boys from Mu’tah headed home leaving me with zaid and Gmen(zaid’s friend )… Then in the evening another guy called zaid to visit us… Nain a dentist –to-be from JUST, Irbid. So, last night we had our dinner at Hadramaut Restaurant in Jubaihah ( famous for its nasi mandi , a delicasy from Yaman ).. mimi loves eating at this restaurant….
We planned to drop by the theme park again but it was already closed…Both Gmen and Nain left our house this afternoon..Thanks for coming over…
This morning I helped zaid packing his stuff …. He’s flying home again for two weeks , still have many undone business backhome……Non-stop travelling.....
He just called from the Queen Alia Int’l Airport letting me know that he’s already in the waiting area , ready to fly….Safe journey, InsyaAllah.
I just remember what the girls said to me while shaking hands and kissing me before leaving…
“ Terimakasih banyak makcik , layan kami makan, minum, pergi fun fair ,tumpang tidur….rasa macam mak sendiri….terimakasih…”
Very touching indeed . I’m only hoping that my two daughters who are abroad will have somebody to be their ‘mom’ once in a while, InsyaAllah.
