A Soothing Family Day..

LALALALALALALA....Alhamdulillah , my fever has finally gone... feeling great ....except...still coughing sometimes.

Weekend in Jordan falls on Friday and Saturday and most of the time these two days are known as 'family days'. On these days, parents usually take their kids for outing or shopping. So, the parks and shopping complexes/malls are usually packed with families and don't be surprised if you are a bachelor ( man ) they would refrain you from getting into the malls. Why? Remember it's family day, only men with families can enter the malls(the malls are usually equipped with security officers and "body scanner doors".

When I first went to Mecca Mall(the biggest mall ever built in Jordan ), I thought a demonstration was taking place because a crowd of young men were standing outside the main entrance. Then Zaid told me those men weren't allowed to enter the mall because they were bachelors and it was Saturday, the family day. However , they usually allow foreigners inside even if they are bachelors....spinsters ,no problem..can enter anytime because they love shopping , right....they gain profits !!

As I've promised Mimi and myself ,yesterday we went to Amman Mall ( indoor children theme park ). I invited Ustaz mujahid's family to join us there. The kids had fun playing at the DreamPark.

Then ,this afternoon my kids and I went to Amman Roman Theatre in the city centre which was built in the mid 2nd century AD . It has 33 rows of seats and can accommodate almost 6000 spectators. The weather was nice and I was also surprised to see many arabs with their kids were also enjoying their weekend just like us ,maybe it's been cold for more than three months and spring is just around the corner...so the 'hybernating ' season is almost over.

The park outside the theatre has been upgraded, no more stalls on the upper part, replaced by walking alleys with benches and fountains.

I was stunned when I saw the grass is already green , really green and I said, " eeehhh rumput hijaulah !!! ", then Zaid , my eldest son replied spontaneously, " Mama , ada ke rumput warna selain hijau ?? " . HAHAHA
HAHA..so funny, we all laughed . I really miss green grass .

We got into the theatre and spent an hour and a half.. sitting+chatting+ observing people +taking pictures . Izzat got to the highest level of the theatre ( I've never tried to do it , sakit lutut nak climb all the way up !! )

Alhamdullilah , the theatre is truly a soothing and amazing place to spend my family day.

kak elle,

tulah , those boys kalau nak masuk kenalah 'sewa' makwe/mak/nenek ke baru boleh masuk.
I pernah 'disewa' oleh satu coaster malaysian boys( 20 orang ) sebab hari tu memang pack sangat that Mecca Mall (nama pun mekah ye , memanglah crowded )so foreign bachelors pun no entry...Diaorang suruh I bagitau guard yang they all tu my family..hahahah,dapat masuk.

Rasa kalau kak elle pergi situ , berebut arab nak nak sewa the groovy nanny... ^_~

asma dear ,

Laaa tak sampai lagi rome theatre...meh makcik nak ajar camne nak gi...kalau naik servis/taxi dari abdali kata pada driver nak pergi 'mudarrraj romani' (kalau servis putih tu 20 kurusy je )..dekat je tak sampai sedinar(taxi kuning ) pun .... kalau naik bas dari abdali, naiklah apa-apa bas yang tulis 'ragdan' memang dia akan lalu depan this theatre, kalau jalan kaki di masjid hussein yang kat balad tu, jalan hala ke kanan masjid, terus jalan , tak sampai 7 minit walking sampailah rome theatre..

Pergilah, nice view.bayaran masuk ada student card 15 kurusy je....
